Onur Tumer: ‘Turkey, especially Bodrum and Marmaris is number one in the world when it comes to yacht making. There is no trouble in making high-quality boats. Our major problems are the wounds that opened by the fake, temporary and profiteering purposed people. Inspections should be done much better in this regard. There should be applications to make pirate tourism regret to come to Turkey.’

Alim Doygun also stating that the sweet holiday dreams of the tourists who want to enjoy the beauty of Turkish coastal turned into nightmares in the past due to lack of controls. Stating that other international tourism companies have also brought similar problems into agenda in various meetings and international tourism fairs, Alim Doygun added: ‘Turkish yacht market can’t be underestimated. Turkish worker, engineer, captain don’t spear the labour when it comes to yacht tourism. The beauty of our country is  threatening by a few fake tourism companies. Our state should be fighting those and also attach the most severe penalties. We can’t talk about the development of our tourism if that fake companies that make tourists regret to come to Turkey, remains unpunished.

Onur Tumer and Alim Doygun’s warnings to tourists for a better yacht tourism as follows:

Relevant public institutions have to fight to the unlicensed so-called tourism companies in all circumstances.

Checks should be performed regularly by the Ministry of the Finance as informal companies caused a substantial tax loss.

Those, who will go to blue tour, should ask questions about the tourism agency that organizing the tour. The tour should be avoided if they can’t get satisfactory answers.

The whole cost of the tour shouldn’t paid during bargaining. It should be paid after the completion of the service and by using financial services if possible.
